Pybus Market Charitable Foundation (PMCF), the 501c(3) non-profit
organization that has operated alongside the Market since its opening,
will hold a dinner fundraising event in the concourse of Pybus Market
on Wednesday, March 21 from 6pm to 8pm. All proceeds will go to
benefit the Pybus Annex campaign which kicked-off in February. Tickets
are $100 per person and include a sampling of foods, wine and beer
from all Pybus merchants. The evening will include four exclusive, oneof-
a-kind auction items, a paddle raise and hardhat tours of the
remodeled space.
“The events room badly needs new HVAC, insulation, acoustics and
views of the outside,” said Leslie Freytag, PMCF board of director and
“Taste of Pybus” co-chair. “The remodel will bring the ambiance of the
events room up to par with that of Pybus Market and will allow PMCF
to expand its offering of community-based activities that occur in the
space, added Freytag.
“The Foundation is the conscience of the Market. It serves to educate,
support, inspire and create community,” said Freytag. “The adjacent
Pybus Annex building houses most of the Charitable Foundation’s work in support of our mission,” added Freytag. “In 2017, the events room
hosted over 150 non-profit and community activities, including blood
drives, book sales, job fairs, plant sales, STEM and robotics
competitions, art shows, music performances and non-profit fundraising
events, to name only a few,” said Freytag. “With new HVAC and a
remodeled space, we can do even more community-based activities,
which is the objective of PMCF,” said Freytag.
“The Taste of Pybus” event will allow attendees to experience Pybus
Market like they never have before, sample some unique food and
beverages, see first-hand the remodel work, and contribute financially
to help improve a building space that touches so many in our
community in a positive, constructive way,” said Freytag. “All of us in
the Wenatchee Valley appreciate what Pybus has become, a place
“Where Community Meets,” and so we hope you will join us for a fun
evening,” added Freytag.
Space is limited to 150 guests. Tickets can be purchased online at:
