Fleet Technician
Overview
Under general supervision of the Fleet Supervisor and general supervision and direction of the Fleet Shop Foreman. The Fleet Technician supports Fleet Services operations by, performing highly skilled mechanical work to repair and maintain gasoline, diesel and electrically powered fleet cars, trucks, construction, and other power operated equipment including utility digger derricks, cranes, and bucket trucks. Considerable initiative and independent judgment are exercised in completing assigned duties to ensure the safety and operability of District-owned equipment. May occasionally be required to work various shifts and callouts in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
